The sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are God’s gifts of grace acted out for the worshipping body of Jesus Christ. These are tangible reminders of the actions of Jesus Christ who achieved our salvation from sin, death, and hell. Participation in the sacraments places requirements on partakers that we live in harmony with the motives of Jesus. This morning we will look together at a challenge given to the Christians in Corinth to make their actions live up to what they were proclaiming when they shared the Lord’s Supper.
