Last Sunday we saw Jude encouraging Christians to contend for the faith entrusted to them because some had slipped in who were setting an example of using the grace of God as a license for immorality. In the next verses, Jude gives three examples of those who started out on the right track but lost their way and found destruction. They sowed the wind and reaped the whirlwind. This is Jude’s warning for us not to follow immoral examples who may slip in among believers, but instead to stand strongly for the faith as we have received it.
