Living in the Shadow of the Cross Sunday, March 28, 2021

Today is Palm Sunday, the day Jesus rode triumphantly into Jerusalem on a donkey to shouts of “Hosanna” five days before his crucifixion. In our series from the book of John we have been living in Jesus’ last week since the season of Lent started in mid-February. Today, the children will bring us back to the excitement of Palm Sunday, and our worship will bring us through events of Jesus’ ministry leading into Pastor Kevin teaching about Jesus’ arrest in John 18. This passage makes clear that Jesus intentionally chose his road that led from joyfully celebrating crowds to a cross in just five days.
