I Am The Good Shepherd Sunday, June 30, 2024

In John 10 Jesus clearly states, “I am the Good Shepherd.” As he experiences more and more the pressure of opposition, Jesus seems to become bolder in his statements. He directly addresses the Pharisees in a way that can’t help but make them wonder if he is labeling them as the bad shepherds from the prophets. He claims the closest connection with God with the bold “I Am” statements that intentionally echo the name of the LORD God. This Good Shepherd puts his life on the line for us.
