A Shepherd with the Spirit Sunday, June 27, 2021

Moses is Israel’s George Washington and then some. The LORD has made clear that Moses will not be leading Israel into the Promised Land; there are some big shoes to fill. In a clear foreshadowing of his name-sake, Jesus, Joshua is appointed leader of Israel as a shepherd with the Spirit. God has raised up for us THE Great Shepherd who will lead his people out of slavery to sin and into the land of promise where people will dwell with God.
