This morning, we will look at three examples of fatherhood in the Old Testament. Regrettably the examples of Eli, Samuel, and David are negative example of fathers who were not involved enough in the raising of their children with disastrous consequences including extortion, corruption, and murder. Dad’s place in the family is not in the back seat – just along for the ride. Our children need fathers who provide clear guidance and spiritual direction in their lives.
