1 Peter 5 presents the final installment of the Good Shepherd material in the Bible. Jesus’ lead disciple, Peter, writes to “fellow elders” that they should each shepherd the flock assigned to them and tells how they should go about this important task. Elders are also promised a crown of glory that will never fade when Christ returns. All these words still apply to shepherds in the church today.
