The Source of Strength and Courage Sunday, July 4, 2021

“Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged.” Forty years earlier, God’s people, Israel, had stood on the border of the land the LORD promised them and were so terrified that they refused to go in. Now they stand on the border again, and Joshua has just stepped into the leadership role after the death of Moses; he needs to hear these words, the promise of the LORD’s presence, and the connected instruction. Everyone who wants to live under God’s blessing needs to hear what the LORD says to Joshua in this passage.
