A Joy-Filled Home Sunday, July 13, 2025

Psalm 5 presents us with the practice of morning prayer as an important piece in establishing a joy-filled home. As in many of the Psalms, the setting includes enemies – these are enemies who flatter and attempt to deceive in a way that brings their victims to destruction. For protection from such enemies, we are invited to pray regularly asking the LORD to make clear the path he sets before us. Following that path, rather than the one presented by deceivers, will lead us to the joy the LORD intends for his people.
