The Joy of Salvation Sunday, December 10, 2023

Today we light the candle of Joy! With our Service of Lessons & Carols we remind ourselves of the story of God and humanity. After we cut ourselves off from God through rebellion and sin, God promised a Savior. The scripture lessons walk us through God pointing ahead to the coming of a Savior and finally to his arrival in Bethlehem. Though these events are in the past, they tell the story of God’s love for us which we then celebrate through song. Let the children, choir, and readers lead you in worship and lift up your own voice as we together sing some of the beloved songs of Advent and Christmas.
